T40 1:25 Orlik

Hello guys!

This time I will continue the build of the T40
This kit is so easy to assemble, the fit is great, few parts, nice coloring and weathering, ok instructions.
The tank is a small amhibious one.Soviet type from ww2.

Lucky as I was, I got myselves an assembly team
Hope you enjoy the shots, and the team will get colored very shortly!!

I have also made a small diorama for the small tank.
It's a winter dio. I sprayed a stonebrick with Christmas snow.....planted some trees ans throw some small rocks in! As you notice it's the same as for the Putilow,so This scene will not be used for the T40....

Continued working on the T40.

The rudders and the propeller

I also started the crazy work adding rivets......now I see I shouldn't have been thinking about that....Spent all day yesterday doing the rivets and I'm not half way to finish that part yet.

Some part on the front....

looking great, Johnny! Good to see your crew back in action, as they seem to have taken an extended holiday! The rivets look great, I think you have way more patience than I do, and I have a lot! This one is in my stack also, and looks great, I may have to move it up towards the top! Thanks for the update!

I should necer have started that rivetmania.....now I have added 400-500 rivets and not even close to finish that job yet....So in a couple of days I might have the rivets done.
I'm also working on the wheels and tracks....in between

It's a painful job at best. How did you make the rivets? What size are they?

Regards,

Charlie

I use the Japaneese screw punch to make the rivets. With the 1mm bit it's easy to make them. The size of the rivets are around 0,7-0,8mm. I haven't mesured them but since it's the inside of the bit I guess thats not far from the truth.
