Star 66 NVA (former Polish People's Army truck)

I'm starting another thread with workshop. This time something unusual for most of you - Star 66, a truck which was designed and produced in Poland from 1958 to 1965. I used to drive Star 66 since 1966 when I entered the army, to 1968.
I have a lot of good memories with this truck - that's why it has a very special meaning for me. One of my most interesting experiences was teaching NVA soldiers how to drive these trucks(it was in 1968)(North Vietnam was sending some of their soldiers for trainings to Poland). They were worst drivers I ever met! .
Stars 66 were also send to Vietnam but in small numbers and without spare parts. It was a good all-terrain 6x6 truck but it required much more care than russian counterparts so in war conditions they suffered malfunctions.

Model is the Mały Modelarz(MM), scale 1/25
I'm planning to recreate one of the particular Stars I used to drive in PPA. I scanned original for a better quality. It's really old and badly designed model. My grandson will paint it, as I'm not the greatest painter. I'm gonna make only initial painting on some more hidden parts.

My father drove one of those while in the army.He learned on Star 25 then Star 66 and some time later he drove officers around in some car ,likely Warszawa.

It will be interesting to see model come together.Good luck.

Just a little progress...
As you can see I use many strange things like bubbles from pills and drinking straws in my models.
Wheels are not glued yet.

I used some wierd and unusual stuff for making my models but black mustard seeds (or any seeds) is a new one for me.

Come to think of it if you put a load of yellow ones on truck bed (after you are done) you will have nice load of potatoes right there .

This is good work. Do you plan to design and build a REO M34 some day?
