No knobby tread pieces for me! I have the laser cut set for that.

Oh and here is yesterday's lone picture.

Here we go....again.

Formers laminated and cut out. Notice the numbering mistake for parts 388. Speaking of which 388aL and P both needed cut down to fit correctly.

I also tried to grow a third hand for assembly but was forced to only use my two original issue hands as my magic powers are non existent.

Also the diagram provided for assembly could have used a second view, as I had to figure out some parts placement on my own.

More progress and more problems.

Fit continues to be vague. I have also had issues with the clarity of the ladder diagrams and some doubled parts (straps) really needed to be delaminated to make them thinner. There were also some missing placement marks. Nothing is particularly intuitive.

I had to fill a gap by a too short wrapper for one of the boxes. I missed the lines diagram for the tanks until everything was installed on the rear module. I decided to skip those.

Any way, I made some progress and have not been "forced" to re-shelve it yet.

This is one kit that brings out the best of your McGiver skills.

Some more progress complete with more vague diagrams, missing or incorrect part numbering and questionable fit. Still at it though!

Bad designed models are a pain in the arse...fitting problems likeways...bad drawings and diagram also makes the hobby a challenge.
And in spite of all this I will say you du a great job here Greg!!
Im struggeling with messy drawings on my project...just can not be used to the way they are done...and of course the lack of english instructions.

Thanks Johnny! I feel your pain in dealing with drawing, instruction and parts fit issues!

Photo number one is a good example of the stupid issues with this kit. These are the "two" parts for an open top bin that gets filled with other stuff.

The strip is labeled with two part numbers and a lamination note. The frame work above it had no part number marking or lamination note.

Evidently it is actually part of the 465 parts but I know not which.

THEN the strip is actually too wide/tall and should be half the height.

SO it occurred to me that this strip actually needed to be split lengthwise down the middle and the bottom half needed to be used as the inside wall of the bin.

This meant that these inside walls needed to be cut short for each side and the frame needed trimmed likewise to fit in the new inner dimensions.

I do not know HOW any body that does not have some engineering skill could ever assemble any thing like this into something close to the intended result from what is provided.

sheesh
