Perry T1E1
An so it begins.
Having finally completed a paper model and being in the mood for military vehicles, I have begun work on the 1/48 version of Alberto's (Perry's) very nice U.S. Army T1E1 light tank of 1928. T1E1 U.S. Light Tank 1927 - 1/72 free model For some reason, my printer produced it in a brown, rather than an olive drab, color, which still looks okay. I have printed it out on Wasau Xact Bristol White 67-pound paper of .008" (0.2mm) thickness. I used a Caran d'Ache Neocolor II water soluble pastel crayon 7500.045 (Van Dyke Brown). So far, I have laminated the relevant parts to 0.75mm card and cut out the laminated parts and the hull parts. This will be my second 1/48 military vehicle model. Don, it doesn't count as your build if your grandkids do it...

Thanks for dropping in Greg, Douglas, and Jeff.
While my grandsons could, no doubt, do a better job, Oh Squid of Squids, Troll of Trolls, and Ammo Bearer of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, I am going to give this one a go myself. I'm not sure when the next installment will be. I've enjoyed spending the last two days slicing paper, but have to get back to work tomorrow. In three weeks, however, the summer teaching will be over and I am trying to stay clear of commitments in order to get some building done. Thanks for the good wishes. More later, Don |

Agreed on odd little tank but one that might easily convert to a kid-sized playfort !
