no regrets, please; I think Rick can fix this problem; depending on the forum software there are possibilities like "put threads together" - at kartonbau.de we handle things like this on this way ...?

Thanks for the insight chaps, I would class myself as a designer rather than builder...but to add my penny`s worth, I prefer not to use joining strips at all...
