looking for large 727

I am looking for a large 727 I plan on doing the Piedmont colors from the early days. On the net would be fine or the old 48th scale kit.

The Delta Airlines 1/48 kit is rarer than hen's teeth, but not impossible. Try keeping an eye on eBay for one to pop up. I have a built one hanging from the ceiling in my activity room.

that explains me never finding one then except from a travel shop that was closing down and it seemed to have been at one point used as a table cover for all the tea cup rings on it.

There were at least three of those 1:48 models that each came pre-punched in a box - Delta, FedEx and I think one was PSA. They are huge and colorful and extremely well designed. Good luck hunting on eBay.

Hello all,
I´m new on this forum but not in some other paper model forums.
Yes indeed. There are three versions of that wonderful model. I have many of them mint in cello. The three versions are Delta and PSA (200 series) and the Fedex Cargo (series 100). This is a WONDERFUL model and i used it with lots of modifications as a basis model to take stencils for a huge 1/33 scale one. Most probably you have already seen it in other forums.

Thumbs up

Jesus

Did you scale the 1/48 scale kit up to 1/33 scale? I think that is a very impressive model. Unfortunately there is no reference next to it. Do you have a picture of this 1/33 scale version next to a small one ( like a plastic 1/144 scale ).

Interesting color scheme as well.

This is a truly stunning build of a beautiful aircraft.... I'd be very proud of this

Some more pics of the cockpit interior. Look at the approach plate through the window.

This is another model. The 1/33 dc-9 that i also have shown in other forums. It is based on Geli dc-9 but painted , not printed to avoid sun fading.
