Progress report...
Tail is finished and all control surfaces are made as separate assemblies. Straightforward build and no problems. Fillets are a bit tricky to place since the locations are not marked on the fuselage or stab. I made sure where the midpoint is and secured it to the fuselage, verified positioning and then proceeded with glue towards the rear on top and bottom.

Pilot figure comes from the Zero model produced by 21st Century Toys.
He bailed out while the plane was resold on Ebay :D

Not much progress to report, but here it is....
Contnuing in numerical sequence next stage was to build the undercarriage.
Tail wheel has no wire to support it so I soaked parts in crazy glue to get it strength to hold the plane.
The only change I did for the main legs was to delaminate the part to roll into main leg to allow esaier rolling. Gray color of the shock absorber was replaced with silver.
Next stage is to start on the wings, this will come next week...

Wheels still to be turned of course

It's been two weeks but finally some progress to report...
No real problem but the wing fillet could be done better - no matter how hard I tried, in order for it to form correctly, fuselage hinomaru, or rather the white band around it, are partially covered. Same story with red line marking the "No Step" area on the wings.
I checked photos of other builds of the same aircraft and it seems that this is common issue.
I will leave it as-is since my attempt to fix it could actually make it worse....
