McDonnell F2H Banshee, which looked a bit like a banjo, and the name of which alliterates vaguely with banjo, would be my guess.

The only Banshee I know (and have ;-) is from Skyline Paper Models (of course the first edition) - have a look at Skyline F2H Banshee Development

Hi Chris,
I have bought "Aircraftwerks Beaufighter" in 2008 and of course I downloaded the arms (official site).
This is the file "armamentspack" PDF of 455 KB. and in "Letter" format.
It's available and I can send.

Orazio

I'd put my money for this explanation: Irish folklore: The story of the bean-sidhe began as a fairy woman keening at the death of important personages. In later stories, the appearance of the banshee could foretell death.

More here.:-)

1/32 Bristol Beaufighter Armaments Pack Paper Model - ECardmodels.com Shop - Downloadable models

REMINDER! Free stuff you still need to pay for in order for the cart to work (this seems to generate lots of questions) if your order is completely free choose check/money order at checkout then complete as normal. I just have to manually approve it when I am on next
Thanks!
