And I'll join the crowd to congratulate you! Looks very good! I'm especially happy that it's 1:33 scale. I hope it's not your last venture in this segment of modeling. I would love to see more birds in this scale coming out of your hands. Seriously!
I don't know much about work in extreme scales you usually present here (BTW, my words of admiration for that), but I'm suspecting 1:33 gives much more freedom to a modeler. It's just easier to work with larger parts and most of all paper is more receptive to any manipulation. I'm guessing a very small scale besides obvious challenges of handling tiny parts presents some physical limitation of paper medium. Some things are simply not possible, or too extreme to even try. Said that, I think the wing tips show that you were "out of your comfort zone." Larger parts of this element allowed you to form the wing tips better. And that is my only complaint about your build (I know I'm a nitpicker...). Again, overall good stuff Ray. I really hope to see more big airplanes coming out of your workbench.

Looks great Texman! Your skills have certainly carried over to the "full scale". Like you, I've gotten used to building small models, and you've gotten me thinking that it would be a good idea to challenge myself with a model that's larger than 1/72. It's a good thing to venture out of our comfort zone every now and then.

Beautiful work, Flyboy!
My kudos are late because we were en route home from Cape May yesterday and the email server was out last night. Your microskills are clearly transferrable to the macro level. Dogface |

but I always seem to have so much on the go. One day I will get this done...and in the meantime... anyone who is building any of my 'Stangs and wants some updated fairings is invited to to contact me and motivate me to create a set for that model.

Nice build, Ray. Did you encounter any problems at that strange scale? 8v)

Thank you all.
Tomek, Thanks for your words of encouragement! Coming from someone with your building skills, I am honored. You have some valid points. Yes, the wingtips are not perfect, but this build was for the photography of Dave's graphics, more so than a perfectly formed build. Ash, yeah, there were some problems. The parts were larger than my tools to work on them! Thank you everyone for your kindness.
