Question...In the first installment you say "burnished on the edges". What do you mean?

I think it was "rounding" them - paper is flat, so you could build only straight surfaces and cylinders/cones (but not spheres). Burnishing is "working" the paper round (and not flat) in order to create curves in two dimensions (like those on the skin of an orange).

Almost right Calinous, but in my reference to burnishing I am using a smooth piece of metal in this case a tool I fashioned to rub against and push down the edges of the paper where the glue joints are. This has the effect of making them lay flat. They are not flat, but the edges are forced down against each other. I use a mandrel behind the joint if I can, the mandrel being a dowel rod shaped at the end or flat. I have multipe sizes of wooden dowels I keep around in short length for this purpose. Sequence as follows
