You're more than welcome, Papermate.

As a general "rough guide" there is a pamphlette still online somewhere about the Schneider floatplanes, which details twin floats as never being further apart than the one-third of the span line taken from root to tip.
Single float with outrigger floats were said to have the outrigger floats positioned at one-fifth total wingspan taken from the tips, which would place the outriggers at

Roughly speaking.

Pardon the rough "drawing" in type-face, I don't have a 3d prog up and running yet, nor know how to use one.

Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.

Having completed 26 navy planes by now, I would like to take a little break to do something different. It's still at the 1:200 scale. This time, it is something special, the Avro CF-100 Canuck, a freebie designed by W. Scott. I have made reference to the Virtual Aircraft Museum and observed closely the dimensions in re-scaling. Some minor modifications were made to the nose and engine exhausts and landing gears were added. The clear canopy is original and not altered.

I call it the Canada Day Special to mark the occasion on July 1, 2011 and especially present it to all Canadian members on this forum. Happy Canada Day.

Just plain cardboard sandwiched between the printed wheels.

papermate, good build and really good hands and eye, do you have plans to build the A-7 corsair, or the F-5n from US navy?

I have built the F8 Crusader which I think is similar to A7 Corsair. Would you mind telling the difference between these two?

Papermate - F8 was a larger aircraft and a supersonic fighter. The A-7, while similar in planform, was smaller, subsonic, and designed for ground attack (bomber). For more info than anyone has time for see the virtual aircraft museum at Virtual Aircraft Museum .

F-8 has variable incidence wing, A-7 has simple sweptback wings. both have colorful career in the US Navy. RFN is right.

Wow, that was very educational. Thank you very much. Other than speed, both are quite similar in appearance.
