I have a head magnifier with 1.1 and flip down lens of 3.3 and another smaller lens taking down to 4.8 but that last one is hard to use because I have to be to close to use it. The lights on it really help. But beside all the toys and tools papermate you have something a lot of could only hope to have. That's your talent. The ability to do such a high end amount of detail. Those aircraft are just two stages to the left of unreal. Thanks again for sharing and looking forward to your next challenge.

Family photo of some of the Sky XXX

As requested by Carlos a few posts back, the family photos of the Sky XXX that I have built so far are here.

NAVY & MILITARY Planes in 1/200-p1150808.jpgNAVY & MILITARY Planes in 1/200-p1150810.jpg
Sky Ray by WMV, originally 1:250
Sky Hawk by LadNDad, originally 1:48
Sky Raider by Bobscardmodels, originally 1:72
Sky Lancer by Stahlhart, originally 1:60
Sky Knight by Stahlahrt, originally 1:60
Sky Warriors by OBP, originally 1:64

If you can't tell which is which, this may help

And as a fit of pinsanity, a few micro planes are also presented -

3 WWII planes from the USS WASP CV7 site

and Bobscardmodel's Conair CS2F (Tracker) water bomber

All of them should be somewhere between 1/550 and 1/600. Intended to be 1/700 but due to some miscalculation in downscaling, here they are! Please enjoy.

Thanks Papermate.

I love the tiny WW2 aircraft. I didn't think the Skyhawk would be so small next to the Skyraider. That one is a beast, almost as big as the Skynight!

Thank you so very much for sharing the "Family Portrait" of your SkyXXX builds, Papermate.
It is truly a distinct pleasure to see them together, along with the bonus of the even smaller micronic models.

I hope in time to achieve similar builds, and have collected micronic scale in order to to so.

Kind and Respectful Regards Papermate my friend, Uyraell.

Hi, this is a preview of the forthcoming No.50, E2C Hawkeye, but in the form of a miniature in the scale of 1:1000. Yeah, I know it's not the regular 1/200 in this series, but as I explained, it's a preview, so treat it as an appetiser. The printing gets pretty blurry when reduced drastically but the overall shape of the microplane suggests no doubt that this is it - the Hawkeye. It's got wheels but props don't spin this time. His big brothers are coming soon!

I keep looking at your photos and I keep saying "It ain't possible, but there it is." Next thing you;ll be curving these aircraft out of grains of rice. That is just awesome. Can't thank you enough for sharing these with us. Very cool mate. Is a PBY on the list any time soon? wad

That is an absolutely beautiful micronic Hawkeye!
Given that the scale of this one is 1:1000, perhaps we should coin a new word to describe the scale: "Milonic" being that mille = 1000 in Latin.

Regardless the linguistics, it is most certainly a pleasure to see such a finely built model of such a complex aircraft in so minute a scale.
You have achieved what I could not in this build, Papermate my friend.

Kind and Respectful Regards Papermate my friend, Uyraell.

Got your PM, thank you. Got the cube too. Now I one of the guys right? he he. PBY is a plane of beauty. Picking the right one to do will be hard. I always thought the Black Cats had it the worst. No matter which plane you pick, that will be the right one. I'm really enjoying your ride a lot. You have the gift. Best wishes. waddy
