You did an excellent job on the Hawkeyes, the EA-6B an the F-22. I really love the Eastern recolor. That one must have been hard to build! So many tiny parts!

Thanks, Carlos. Yeah, I like Saturn's Hawkeye the most because of its details and good fit. It was hard to build, difficult level being 4 out of 5, especially with the engines and spinning props. Anyway, it was real fun building it.

No.54 Yak-38 by Ojimak

I wasn't aware until I saw cafe's Yak-38 in 1/200 that it was a navy plane of the Soviet Union, now Russia. Apart from that, it seems that I haven't done any Russian planes. So, here it is, from Ojimak originally in 1/80 (or 1/60, can't remember). I have added simplified landing gears. Paper used -130 gsm ink jet paper and sprayed an overcoat of clear enanmel paint.

Excellent !

Ojimak has 2 other soviet navy planes: the carrier-borne Su-27K (entered service as Su-33) and the VTOL fighter prototype Yak-141. The latter seems to have influenced the Lockheed Martin engineers working on the X-35 VTOL variant (and the F-35B).

He also has 2 colour schemes for the british Fleet Air Arm's Sea Harrier FRS 1.

Thanks, Josh and Carlos. I was wondering whether Ojimak's SU-34 is a variant of Su-33 and is thus another naval plane. Well, Carlos, the planes you mentioned are also on my build list. Thanks again for the info.

The Su-34 has started replacing the Su-24 in the Air Force but there used to be a naval Su-27KUB/Su-33KUB that looked a lot like it. There are some pics and a 3-view plan at the bottom of this russian language page (for comparison here's a 4-view plan of the Su-34).

Thank you, viewers of this series. I'll be going away for holiday for about seven weeks and will not be presenting any new models until mid August. But I'll be browsing this forum occasioanlly during vacation. See you then.
