I like that plane very much, too. Hey, that's the same name you have here, yours and
the plane. Any relations?

Hi, delticman, there's no big deal in building small scale models. From my experience, I just
started by building regular-sized models. As you have acquired more confidence and
experience, you can shrink the templates to a smaller scale, say 50% for a start, then go
even smaller as you go along. If you are willing to spend time reading my thread, you will
find some tips. For me, I also read up building reports and tutorials by other master builders
on this forum. Sites? You can start by getting freebies from the download section of this
forum. Then you can go to pay websites for simpler ones first to shrink them and later
more complicated (advanced) ones.
So, this is my two-cent and I wish you happy papermodelling. Hope to see some of your
works later.

A little update on the Buckeye. I trimmed away some parts to allow space for a scratch build
cockpit. Not sure if I could make it. Just started by using those in the A6 Intruder to see
if it works. And I'm not quite following Kancho's instructional diagrams completely as they
used to say there are many ways to Rome.

Thanks Frederico. Now, the lower half of the fuselage is completed and ready to be
assembled to the upper.

The fuselage is now formed and assembled.
The pilot seats from the A6 Intruder kit appears to work but a lot of trimming
is necessary to install them. Next is doing the canopy by heat forming.
The mould is shaped from a strip of balsa wood.

The canopy is now in place but awaits final touch ups and adding details to the foreward part.
The vertical tail and horizontal stabilizers are affixed and I'm thinking of bringing the air brakes
to more 3D looking. Should have googled earlier to ensure correct shape of the nose and near the
engine intakes but it looks okay to me as it is now.
