Smile Right behind you

Boats

Me too minus the raid on the commissary ( I am an optimist ).

I will build Ron's B-17 in 1/48 scale as well. My last 4 engine prop plane was the Schrieber DC-7 and the Lockheed Electra turboprop in 1/50 scale built in the days of Disco music. It was fun back then.

I think I will stay home tomorrow. Ice skating is not for cars.

Isaac

Hey DeckApe. Do you ever take time to sleep or eat shipmate? Everyone else is buying food and stuff and you're out getting blades and models to build. lol Mind you I stocked up on Scotch.

All the best and looking forward to seeing your builds.

Cheers
Jim

Ahoy Boats,

Glad to hear your pantry is stocked to the gunnels, your modeling locker is freshly resupplied and your ambition level is stoked as well. LOL

Looking forward to your modeling mayhem while the winds and weather storm away outdoors.

Ruben,
The builds of the 1:48 scales should give you a fairly good idea of
the processes involved and allow you to build it on the sidelines.
Isaac is gong to to build it without interior and using the kit parts
for canopies instead of transparencies. This should give a good
fit check of the kit parts......Ron

B-17G 1/48 Build

Ahoy
The build for the colossal side by side by side today is the B-17G. Tommorow will be the gomix flymodel F7F Tiger cat.and Wednsday will be the DC3.

The build for today will be Mr. Ron Halls mighty B-17G in the new scale of 1/48 I will post pictures today somtime, this more less will be a beta build for this scale to see how it goes together for fit and assembly. NOTE our shipmate Issac has the same kit he will be posting his build on his build thread. He will be attacking his model without the kits intereir only useing Monograms B-17 for parts. I will be useing the intire kit for my build like I done on my 1/33 scale version.

The build Begins

Go get em Boats. Turn two commence ships work. This should be
a trio of builds to watch an old shipmate accomplish. I must admit
you have set yourself quite a task but I have no doubts on you
being able to accomplish it.......Ron
