Some tiny progress
Lots of round things. Sixteen main wheels, sixteen brake disc packs, all of them solid laminated cardboard.
Next up are the main landing gear legs. Lots of rolling ahead.

A little more
One of the main gear legs mostly together. Still have more struts to go, and a final set of cylinders that will need to be fitted when there is a wheel-well to fit them to.
There is a lot of work with multiple laminations in the base and braces at the top of the strut. It's proving to be rather more sensitive to thicknesses than I had anticipated. No major problems, but everything seems to be coming out a little thicker than called for (in several places so far the sandwich is wrapped around the edge with another piece). Lucky for me the silver Sharpie is an even better match for this silver than it was on the P-35.

Wow... This Vulcan is sort of... big... I wonder if the landing gears can support the aircraft's weight?

The strut is solid rolled paper around a wire core, so it ought to be stiff enough. I am going to build some wire hanging loops into the wings since that will probably be the only practical display method. That means I will probably skip the open crew entry hatch.
