The X Plane Files

Inpired by Umtutsut's question if there was an X1b, I'll start a thread about all X planes that are available, and specialy the one's that are not, to wake up all those designers that have a problem picking a next subject.
I was always interested in all kind of experimental planes, and I collected them.
There are quite a few around, but it will always be a niche subject, so perfectly for papermodeling , because they cost a fraction of a plastic or resin kit.
First we start with the 'real' X planes, and in this case we go by the book; this book; Monographs in Aerospace History Series
Scroll down, it's no 31 American X Vehicles, by mister Jenkins & Landis, 63 pages with pictures.
Later we can go for the XFV's XB's ,Lifting bodies, and so on, and non American..
So, if you know more or better just step right in,
Oh, and do post picture's and trivia

great list

The X-32 is actually closer than one might think:
It is the download sction of this forum "aviation".

Mybe somoeone will create a X-47 also? Ok it is unmanned, but it is an X-plane isn't it?

I have the Mamecraft, FG, and P-model X-1. They're all great in their own ways. The P-model is by far he most detailed and difficult.

Assuming the quality is equal to their 1/24 X-4, it shouldn't be difficult to scale the X-3 up to 1/32 or 1/33. I may have to give it a try!

Hello Billy,

The X-1B was published by YG-model, Pavel Kohno's design

GPM - modele kartonowe

it was also available at Orlik's store, but looks like it's been sold out.

X-3 has also Geli and MON. I already doubt MON's can be found somewhere

Here is Geli's X-3: 21 Douglas X-3
looks not so bad although it's old magazine

X-15 by Ken West
1/32 X-15 - ECardmodels.com Shop - Downloadable models and crafts for builders of all styles and
with the in-flight addon
1/32 X-15 in flight configuration add on does not include plane - ECardmodels.com Shop -

and X-35 is being tested now, 1:33, Pavel Kohno's design
