The underside looks complicated. Looks like you've got it covered though.

Fuselage underside
The underside didn't fit very well, so i cut that part off, took another copy then I put all parts together and after that I fitted it to the fuselage. The only problem is the chink near the front gear. All these problems are consequences mostly of my mistakes Canopy Problems to get everything in straight line. Engine inlets The inlets fits very well but the inside part not,so I used putty and made the edges more rounded. It doesn't look perfect but I'm happy with result. Tail No problem here, I have added a card at the bottom for easier fitting Overall look and the part where I accidentally smudged a paint( I've tried to wash it off but it got even worse) |

Looking good! I've always had a soft spot for the Intruder. You're doing a great job.

Hello!
I have mounted inner wings and I had to cut some places to fit everything to the fuselage : The mechanism that keep the wings in vertical position is very hard to make but it's quite interesting and it's not a bad idea*. If we put everything in wrong order we will spend more time to make it work(a lot of time). * Of course we can just skip part 71 and everything will be OK except wings will fall down but we can make a cantilever with a wire, just like on this picture http://www.nexternal.com/SBM/images/wpd72024.jpg |

This is a very precise build. Is the canopy taped just to protect it from handling, or will you be repainting the model?

It's for a transparent lacquer , I have never used it on a canopy so I decided to tape it.

Good idea!
The clear overspray might have made the canopy NOT so clear...
Doing a very nice job of this build. Thanks for sharing with us all.

I would not have believed this contoured aircraft would look so good in paper. Great Job!! The seams are incredibly well done.

I know alot of people like to model carrier aircraft with the wings folded. I personally like them extended since in the folded configuration ( especially WW 2 aircraft ) , the outer wings obscure the fuselage or canopy.
Great work!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isaac |
