Wonderful! These dioramas really capture the atmosphere and impression of the period.

Thanks. I do have a question, sorry I'm behind the times.

POA? = Part Of Assembly, Price of Admission, Plan of Attack, Point of Anger, Piece of A....??

Don't laugh, you'll be old some day too!!

Another cool build of this aircraft, thanks for your fine interpretation of it Swampfox. My Grandfather was a Russian immigrant who worked his way to operating a number of machine shops in the 40's and knew Mr Sikorsky. I was very inspired to work on this design, and at the time had almost no references other than questionable 3-views and some old photos, I had feared no-one would build it as the instructions are poor, so some time ago built one here showing the method I used back then...it is around here somewhere...after lots of test builds and following some of the way the RC guys were building them...

Thank YOU for taking the time to design this aircraft. I learned of them several years ago and had always wanted to build a model of both the S-38 and 39. When FG released the kits I knew that one day I'd build them both. I've spent a lot of time gathering all the photos and literature I could find on them before I started...I was amazed how close the strut length's were on the S-38 kit. Very little trimming to get them to fit exactly. The big trick is the jig system to hold everything in place while it dries...

I only know of 2 other people that have built both the 38 and 39 so I haven't had much chance to talk to others about their experiences building them..and I did order the S-38 RC plans to have as reference.

Appreciate you taking the time to comment on my build.

SF do you think you could post a pic of the tail of the S-38, having trouble trying to figure out just how it fits where the boom, horizontal and vertical tails come together......Rich

Anthony,

Beautifully stunning builds!

Q: Did you blue/green screen the shots for the in-flight poses? How did you pull off the prop spin as well?

Ok, that was two Qs...

Great work! -J
