Hansa Brandburg D.I in 1/144

Hello All,

I recently did a build of Roman's Hansa Brandburg D.I for the Wings of War game. Had so much fun I had Janx do me up a re-color of it in blue :D

To avoid re-posting the entire set of pix here's a link to the build thread I did over at he WoW site,

Hansa Brandenburg D.I and Fokker D.VII

In the mean time here are the final pix.

Enjoy :D

That looks awesome! Great work.
I have a hard enough time with this one in 1/48th. I cannot imagine doing it in 1/144.
Thanks for sharing.

Really outstanding work. I am amazed at the clarity of the details at these small scales. Nice Job.

Superb model of the Star-strutter. I have a Lee peanut-scale stick and tissue model of this one that I bought in a hobby shop in Monterey, California, in 1969 and never had the courage to try to build.

Your 1/144 version is a perfect little gem.

That's the very same model kit that I have, G1! Are you going to print the paper model skin on tissue to cover it?

Your pilot looks lke a real Knight of the Skies! A sterling character and a shining example.

Don,

I didn't think of that before but that's a great idea :D I've heard of the technique of attaching tissue to a piece of card and printing patterns on it. Usually for printing German Lozenge patterns. I bet the card model patterns would work great :D

The pilots I got were bought here,

index

They came in a pack of 30 mixed pilots and gunners (mostly pilots). I grabbed 2 packs to keep me busy for a while :P

That site is a valuable resource, G1. Many thanks for letting us know about it. There are some wargamers here at the USAWC to whom I have passed the word.

Is there a 1/144 Sopwith Dolphin in your future?
