My James Bond, 007 BD-5J

After doing the OD color BD-5, I just had to have the James Bond 007, BD-5J From the movie "Octopussy." A really nice model to do a clear canopy and detailed cockpit. I tried building the model with clear packing tape with no success. I found I had to build the model with the stock canopy and then cut out the windows. Then it was very easy to make the canopy in two pieces of clear plactic like used for prop disc. BTW the dashboard for the instrument panel is the cut out front part of the canopy!!

Atta way Bob-o! That turned out really nice. Good idea using the canopy for the dash. I'm guessing you just colored it black?

You got it Willy!! Painted it black. And talk about luck!! That one particular instrument panel fit perfect!!! All the copies of insturment panels I have, I usually always have to trim some of the panels to get um to fit.

WOW Bob,
Now that's a great looking aircraft.
And a wonderful use of materials and craftsmanship.
Brings the movies to life.
Wonder if you sized it up to fit a small rocket motor,,, if you
could get one to fly.
