Smile Aviatik D I 1/100 Scale

Well friends here are my newer concluded model! To thicken my collection in the scale 1/100. This time is treated of the Austrian fighter Aviatik D I.
The model originally was in the scale 1/50 but I reduced it for the appropriate size. It is a commercial kit projected by Marek I bought there is him plenty time in this site here: http://www.teuton.org/~dbarnett /
The most difficult went to do the stais. The execution time of the project was more or less one month... :thumb:

Thank you friends!

Actually the riging I find the most entertaining part of being done in biplanes. I used techniques of plastic models. I used during some time surgical nylon the problem is that he works stretching out and crooking the model. The solution appeared using wires of copper of 0,5 solitary mm of electronic components of old radios, the model was holed with a manual drill 0,5 and the wires were passed over as if they were sewn, but without tension...

You model is beautiful. I used to make gauges for aircraft. To make some of the needles we would tie wire on a post then pull the other end and the wire would stretch and harden. You can then cut to exact lengths. It becomes very easy to work with. It is a wonderful build.
