I wanted to see this thing with skin, so I put the fuselage with the skin parts.

Middle part.

And here, the whole fuselage... Dan, it looks like an F-16 to you? I guess it does.

So far so good.

I realized one thing about the 2mm laminate... it's TOO THICK!! So, I "peel" the cardstock to make it thinner. I hope it works.

I´ve had the opportunity to see this plane in "action" in a couple of AirShows in the neighbor city of El Paso, and I see it as a "sport" plane. Maybe the modern version of what the P-51 Mustang was on WWII. Not so big, not so bulky, dynamic, etc. It's a real thrill to see it in front of you at Mach 0.9.

Here's the air intake. I have to downgrade myself here, because the "mounth" is wide open, and it shouldn't, it has to be rather "smiley". I blame it on the 2mm laminating. :(:(

Now, let's go over the engine. It suppose to be a Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 turbofan with afterburner or also an F110-GE-100 turbofan with afterburner. Enough techie talk. More pics.

Pieces that make out the little engine.

Here are more pieces, showing internal parts of the engine.

The cones for the nozzle, and afterburner.

The installed engine. Note that the nozzle has individual "petals"... a term not so techie this time. Each "petal" is a piece of paper that goes over the next one, giving the view of movement.

A peek of the interior of the engine, viewing the afterburner.

The technical term for the engine nozzle petals is "turkey feathers."

Friends, all your comments mean a lot to me and boost me to keep on going.

Lee, thank you! I'll use that techie word next time.

Now let's give it wings.

Wings also have structures, but surprise! these structures are too poor for a Halinski. I really don't knwo that for sure, this is my first. Let's see.

Only 3 stripes of cardstock for tip, root and center.

Oh, well, the objective here is to have solid wings that don't bend.

The wings make justice to the model, I think.
