F-16 C - My First Halinski

I want to begin this thread saying that, even though this particular model has many building reports on other forums, I didn't find it on this forum. So I thought that maybe it would be useful for some members.

So, I took my hobby knife, glue and a deep breath, and I began to cut the first pieces.

As most of you know, the F-16's are called Vipers by their pilots. General Dynamics, the designer's home, call it "Fighting Falcon".

In this case, Halinski publishes the F-16 C 86-0262. This particular Viper was flown by Craig "Trigger" Stevenson, who in January 17, 2003, scored a killl on a MiG-23 that was challenging the no fly zone over Iraq.

It was the 2nd kill using an AMRAAM misile.

Here's the real bird.

These are the sheets with the pieces. As usual, very good printing.

The structure pieces are laminated on cardstock of 2, 1.5 & 0.5 mm width. There are some pieces with code "*b", and instructions ask to laminate them on light width cardstock. But this is to be checked.

Let's start with the internal structures.

These are the pieces for the fuselage internal structure.

This is the air intake internal structure.

Same part on its underside.

Here's the complete fuselage structure, including the air intake. Each "rib" is used as union of the fuselge "skin".

Another view. The front part on the picture is the cockpit section.

I am always glad to see one of your build threads appear, Gerardo.

As always, excellent work so far. It's a really pretty internal structure.

This should be interesting. I've got an earlier version of the Halinski F16, so it'll be nice to not only see your build - but compare the 2 kits

Yes, I'm excited about this model. Let's see what happens.

Johnny, thanks for the note. I didn't realize it.

Don, thank you for following with me.

Dan, I've seen that other F-16, and yes, it would be interesting to compare them.
