1/32 F-15C Strike Eagle Modelart and P-47 Oh Johnnie

Hi guys,

I couldn't complete the Torrid Tessie, and probably never will. :(

But, I do plan to do the Oh Johnnie version because my name has John in it and Mr. Griffin's P-47 is too awesome to put down. I'll probably do both builds at the same time and will post progress on the Oh Johnnie in this thread. Sort of like a dual build thread

Anyways, back to the F-15C. I'm pretty sure a lot of you know about this kit, but it's fairly new to me. My experience with Modelart kits is practically none, but the Mustang I had less than semi-built had me hooked.

I had a hard time choosing whether to build the F-15C or E, but in the end I preferred the avionics option over the massive amount of armaments.

Going to bring this one and the P-47 with me to Fullerton in October, so I've made some charts to help keep myself on schedule. (Fingers crossed)

Formers have been laminated and I sprayed fixative on the model parts. I must say, I believe I became overwhelmed by just looking at the formers page!

No work on the Oh Johnnie yet as my ink has ran out by printing the F-15C

For the silent viewers who are wondering how it's going so far, I've cut out the formers and will have them glued tomorrow. (I created an excel sheet to track my times, and if anyone's interested, it took 8 hours for me to cut all these out )

I'll try to keep my posts short as I think long winded ones will bore some people.

Speaking for the other 124 silent viewers ... useful info, tips & tricks, interesting history, photos, and witty banter are not boring. So far, so good!

Thanks Yogi, appreciate it!

Small update, I just ran through a test with the F-15C and the fit is extremely well! Only problem is my execution with glue, so I decided to call this one a test.

I'm shifting towards building the E rather than the C because of the ordinance on the E (Although I prefer the colors of the C). I'll keep the F-15E build in this thread as well because I plan to build them both.

On a separate note, I passed my driving test with one error (now I don't need to drive anymore!)
