B-25H, PBJ-1H orlik.

Hello.

I want to share this forum, the assembly of a kit I got from a friend of mine ...

I put a little engine to spin the blades ...

components of the cylinders ...

innovate the fairing that surrounds the engine ...

did not like what the kit provides, so I decided to make transparent acetate, is the same technique used to build canopy ..

constitutes an epoxy mold with mass, shape and through the acetate, then painted with acrylic paint ... ...

That's it

I'm watching with huge interest. Engine looks great, and you have good eye to choosing colours.
Good luck.

Super work!!!!!!!!!! you substituted a vacuformed engine forward cowl lip, that makes it more realistic and the fact that you matched the color is very also superb. This would be great for any Radial engined aircraft ( like the B-17 ).

What are your plans for the nose gun compartment?

Cheers

Isaac

Thank you all for your words of encouragement and praise.

The principle would be the original kit, with a certain increase realistic.
Why? Do you have any idea?

Questions, comments, opinions, will welcome ...

I deeply admire your work on both the engine (paper replica) and motor installation (electric). Very good work, and something to aim for! I am curious how you solved the problem of coupling the long shaft necessary to get through the engine replica to the short motor axle, and how you stabilize the shaft. What kind of bearing did you use? - L.

I can't say what Issac is thinking but myself it be the guns moving in and out slightly as if been fired but that would most likely be very very hard to do or maybe just a fibre optic in the barrel to shine in flashes then stop and start again every few seconds again to make it look like its been fired. Heres me saying this and never tried such a thing on anything i have made ever

The completed engine is amazing, and your color matching is flawless. Beautiful work so far. Looking forward to future posts.

Thumbs up reference info for this B-25 variant

First, here is a link to some great schematics for this aircraft:
Google Image Result for http://www.pbjmitchell.com/images/pbj1h%20010%20copy.jpg

What I was refering to in an earlier post is to vacuform the nose as well. Paper will have a tough time going around the nose.

Another improvement is to show the 75 mm canon as well.

Anyhow, do enjoy the build.

Also, here is a picture I took in 2005 at Miramar Marine air station in California of a version of a PBJ ( not sure are to the exact designation of this one ).
