Hello Glen,
That warbird has so much shine! One would not identify it as a paper model. Great looking work. Mike |

Very very nice! Say how did you conceal the cuts of the petals to from the nose cone and same thing on the tanks I can see no cut lines, they are very smooth, how did you do that?

Mike thanks for stopping in on this one and the kind words, the silver paper has tremendous potential, I'm not sure where to get it now though...
duditz72-Thanks, there are actually no petals the tanks are scratch from wood, the nose cone has concentric 3 piece design, but I sanded and painted it. Since you guys were kind enough to revive this thread, here's the rest of the little things mostly done..although the differences are like one of those pictures in People magazine..20 parts added since last pics.. The last pic is an attempt to get Leif into the cockpit (You mentioned peeking in, but not so pretty with the fault finding lens...(macro))

Thank you, Glen, for the invite to visit the cockpit. No faultfinding here, I can assure you. Very, very nice view. I like the view of the landing gears as well. The camera angle is the one you would have if you actually got shrunk and could enter the model.
Thanks for the opportunity! |

Thanks for stopping by Leif and for leaving a note.. It's harder to get a pic of the details when it's closed up...and you're right most of the extra parts went into the gear, and brake lines not on yet
