Just a quick update. Got the intakes skinned with all four MG ports installed. There was another design error here - the parts that wrap around on either side of the forward fairing around the MG ports (last part in the shots above) were attached to the part backwards. They needed to be cut off and swapped left/right to install flush against the fuselage. But after that the fitment was great - just minor trimming to get the gear bay to line up flush.
Intake sides skinned: Lower fairing installed: Upper fairings installed: Nose attached: This is going to be a big model (for 1:72)! Questions, Comments, Criticisms welcome.

The center fuselage is next, back to where the engine exhaust will mount. This was pretty straight forward cylindrical sections, plus the arrestor hook bay inset, spanning three sections. A little fiddly at this scale, but not too bad.
And here she is so far: Looking straight as an arrow!

Awesome work Cmags. I have all Demons in 1/72, I buy in Kamp shops year a go or more, you build is a inspiration for my attempt in 1/100 scale... Watch with interest.

Thanks Pericles! There are some parts that are probably going to need to be skipped even at 1:72, I doubt they'd even print out as more than a pixel of ink at 1:100. Such as some of the cockpit details. But other than that, this is very buildable in small scale. I'll keep pointing out the trouble areas for ya to refer back to.

Wow, I'm behind on my updates. I have been building, just not posting it seems...
I'll start off with what's already uploaded - the rest of the fuselage. No real areas of concern, though as mentioned in the other thread, part 15* needs to have the ends cut off and reversed. But everything went together nicely. Some of the parts were a little tight, but I attribute that to the model being scaled from 1:33 to 1:72 w/o the cardstock thickness being scaled as well (I'm sure this would build w/o any fit problems at all with plain 20lb paper lol). Enough chatter - pics! Tail sections: Vertical Stabilizer: Tail section attached to fuselage: Man this was a big plane (as compared to the earlier era fighters I've modeled up until now): Lots more to come!
