Fokker D VII 1/200

Hallo friends,

this is my last finished plane from WW I, the famous Fokker D VII. It was flown by several german "aces" like Ernst Udet, Lothar Freiherr von Richthofen ( the brother of the "red baron") and the model shows the plane of Rudolf Berthold, Cdr. of Jasta 2.
The model is based on a free download of Zio Prudenzio, but i thought, his wingstruts are not correct, so I made them by looking on historic pictures by myself.
Of course: The plane got 2 guns, a seat , windshield and intrument panel.

Regards
Micha

PS. Please excuse the bad quality of the pictures. I made them after finishing by night and and the lamp had already a blow up

Beautiful work, Micha!

One of my favorite planes from that era, you did a fantastic job on Zio's wonderful design. I love his excellent graphics so much I find enjoyment just looking at the model sheets; it's great to see one cut and built with such skill.

Thanks for sharing photos of your little gem!

Cheers!
Jim

Hi Jim,

thanks. I like Zios models too especially his lovely colouring and it is not so difficult, to bring the models into 1/200 scale. There is still one plane to build...

Regards
Micha

PS. Jasta may be translated into : squadron
