Ford Tri-Motor 1/33 by Peter A.Zorn digitally restored by Rube Andrés

Hi Folks,
after making a "creative" break for nearly two years ( but reading all the wonderful building reports during that time) I try to build my FCM ( he he, First Completed Model)
I started two Models before, but that ended in a disaster.
But anyway, I´ll try again.
Well, when I read about the Projekt of this digitally restored kit....I fell in love instantly.
Normally my favorites are single prop planes from the WWII age...but the Tin Goose flashed me and here I go
I hope, I can live up to expectations.
I´d like to build the TWA City of Philadelphia color scheme.

It will be a long building process, because of my lack of ability...no routines at all.
Greetings from germany and sorry for my rusty english
Stephan
PS.: Studying the building instructions set many question marks above my head, I hope, someone can help me with some hints, when it comes to certain parts.

Hello Vanhalen,

i love that plane too, i have built the version of Schreiber in 1:50. But the version in 1:33 would be great. So I'm shure that you will succeed in building a great model!

greetings peaceglue

Good luck with your build, Stephan
As you probably know I have build it, so if you have any questions, just ask away, it has the character of a hand-drawn kit, but if you stick to Peter A Zorn's instruction's you'll be fine, and remember you can always print a new part

I'll really be following your build closely as I've downloaded this model and am doing a deatiled study of it and putting together a build plan. I'm trying to locate a good source for a metalized paper that will do the build justice. Good luck!

Hi Stephan, the metallic paper I used came from Red River paper, but it is no longer available, They are looking for a substitute, but I haven't really found a good one, there are a couple of threads in the forum about that.
I heard a brilliant solution, if you find a metallic paper what can't be printed, print it mirrored on the back

@billy.leliveld: I'm sure the information is somewhere in all of the threads pertaining to Mr. Zorn and his great model, but I didn't find it clearly pointed out in the instructions (I probably just missed it): What weight paper(s) should this be printed on? Also, are the pictures, or your build thread, posted somewhere?
