Hopefully the weather is nice out tomorrow and I can take some photos outside, but here is the completed plane. It was a very nice kit and other than being unable to read French and a couple of easily corrected fit problems it went together very well.

Outstanding work, Jim. This has been a very enlightening and enjoyable thread and I thank you for sharing this build with us.

Are you absolutely sure you didn't photoshop an image of the real airplane onto your building board? It's in that category of excellence.

Thanks for the compliments guys! The nastiness from hurricane Ike isn't supposed to get to Dallas until 8:00 AM so I was able to get some outside shots. I kind of like the ones on the patio, the grass almost looks like a hedge - except for the oversize fences and humming bird feeder in the back ground.

I haven't built a model airplane for years, this has been really fun. Does anyone else still fly their airplanes around the room and make engine noises?

If any of you are in the Houston area, I wish you the best. Hopefully, this thing doesn't get too bad.

Don’t we ALL fly our models around the room making engine noises?

Here is a posting my wife made some time ago: “Don [has been] grappling with the Hampden model . . . last night he was sitting at his desk, holding the half-finished model at arm’s length, and making rumbling noises that he assures me is the sound of a pair of Bristol Pegasus engines echoing off the surface of the North Sea from an altitude of 500 feet on a moonless night.” [Lil from Carlisle

I'll even admit to making the occasional strafing run on the cats. Just have to keep enough altitude to avoid the FlaK (FlugzeugabwehrKatze)
