FG's Gloster E-28/39 Jet

[b]Im pretty sure I did this one before. However, I think it was before I was doing clear canopies & cockpit interiors . I any event here it is, Britian's First Jet.

On May 15, 1941, Gloster's chief test pilot, Flight Lieutenant Gerry Sayer flew the E-28 under jet power for the first time from RAF Cranwell, in Lincolnshire. The flight lasted 17 minutes and was a complete success. Tests continued with increasingly refined versions of the engine over the following months. Later in the test program, small, auxiliary fins were added near the tips of the tailplanes to provide additional stability in high-speed flight.

Tryin to get back in the saddle again

Gloster E-28/39 jet

WOW Bob,,,
Really nice looking Jet.
You are the master of the clear canopy.
It looks so much nicer with the interior.
I gotta get better at that.
Are you still doing them with clear packing tape?

Yep!!Still doing the clear packing tape canopies. Hey on this particular model what you can do......cut the wind screen from the front of the canopy and just glue it to the front and cut the back of the canopy off and reglue it over the back piece of the canopy. That way you can do the interior cockpit.. Just a thought. You can also do the same with many of the canopies with packing tape. I'll e-mail you an example!!!! {:o)
