There isn't a kit on that list that I haven't wanted a model of.
The Golden Age of Aviation is my absolute favorite time. It is good to see work being done in that arena. I'm very much looking forward to some of the releases, if not all.

Thanks for the enthusiasm. It's great to know there are other folk on the planet who appreciate this era..
Here's the models that we have just about finished and will be releasing in he 2009..what we refer to as 'Reserves'. These have either been designed or are at 90%. All aircraft are in 1/72 1) Vickers Vimy - GEAOU 2) Breguet 280T 3) De Havilland DH 66 4) Focke Wulfe 16D 5) Armstrong Whitworth Argosy 6) Ford 3AT 7) Dornier Merkur and lots of other things...I'll post some images |

Now that you've made it over here I feel awkward about posting your introduction thread - but I'm glad you've made it over here to post updates. As I said in the PM at the other place, I knew there were some here interested who wouldn't see the other thread

Dan..I always find threads on forums a bit of a mystery..I'm trying to figure out how to remove a repeated image on the gallery for a start...I'm always impressed with the balancing act between Modeling brilliance and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. I have just done a quick look through our files and we would have nearly 100 designs in un-released state which is slightly terrifying to contemplate. I get the impression this Forum has a different focus to the other forum, but perhaps this is a fairly subjective response to web design itself?
From a modelling point of view I am fairly political about both paper and the fact that there are WAY, WAY too many War subjects on the market, which for aircraft at least, completely distorts the reality of aviation development. It is interesting that the same internationalism and outward focus of the 1920's and 1930's through aviation is mirrored in the function of these forums. I think to be involved in them for no other reason than talking to people around the world, is reason enough. Cheers Terry |

Hello Terry and Rosie. I am a 50 something , builder of paper models for 40 something, and I share your passion for the 20's and 30's and for civilian subjects. Almost everything hanging from my ceiling is some kind of airliner. I am very much looking forward to your coming releases, and the more colorful and exotic in design, the better... No shortage of subjects from that era, many of which have never been modeled in any form. (How about (just for example) the last of the Ford Trimotors, the A-14 http://www.aerofiles.com/ford14a.jpg )
Anyway, thanks for the efforts and the posting. Cheers Rob Tauxe, Atlanta |
