Alright, slight update. I started building the CV-22, but encountered problems. First, I didn't get the paint job quite right. Second, the landing gear housing has been proving difficult to attach, usually resulting in a supreme mess of glue.
I think I've figured out a way to attach them though, without the mess, and will a lot more ease for proper placement. At the same time, a circuit in the breaker shut off, and when I got it back on, my printer no longer recognized the cartridges in it, and then started printing very poorly (lots of missing pigment). This is actually good news for a few of you, because while I was able to print out the revised CV-22, I don't think I'll be able to print out the other variants (I'm working on five total). That means I need a few (2 or 3) volunteers for test building. The shape of the model is mostly set now, so what I'll need is pictures of places where the paint doesn't match across parts. First to volunteer means first pick of the variants. Oh, and pictures: |

That Hull looks great! It's looks like you did al the Beta builds already!

Well the lighter ones were the very early prototypes that have the very thick blueprint lines, and have completely inaccurate coloring. They were just to get the shape right. The darker fuselage was looking great except the tan on the bottom should be wider, and the landing gear housing, like I said, were very difficult to attach in their current state.
Here, the new, complete rotor and nacelle (starboard side). Again, the rotor spins freely enough that you can blow on it, but you can also see the head of the rotor is redesigned to look better. At the moment, the rotor can actually be removed from the nacelle, but that was just the way I built it, not design. Last edited by Paragon; 12-13-2011 at 02:36 PM. |

Needs a motor
Seeing that whirling rotor makes me want to put a motor in it. This is looking great Paragon. I'm totally looking forward to building one.
