Cool. It will be interesting to see what you do with this kit. I didn't have the good fortune to possess the Revell kit you mentioned, but do have a Matchbox 24th scale kit (Bf-109F, I think) stashed away in my goodie locker.

Fuselage assembly

Ahoy
Here is the first update of the build this is truely a wonderfull kit all parts so far go together very well no fit issues. another observation on my part this is the first German aircraft that I have seen and built that6 has the swatstika on the tail. Last time I saw the swatstika on the tail fin is back in the 1960,s ever scince then you see the cross on the tail. But as to the kit the printing is superb. before i got started I sprayed a good coat of clear krylon and let dry it makes the parts more plyable to construction. On the photos below is the preformed fuselage skins and thier formers. the tail empenage is assebled and i will let dry and burnish tomorrow, same on the front fuselage. Here is the update.

The build still continues as of now i have the complete fuselage assembled no fit issues at all verey smooth sailing on the kit. Before fuselage assem, nly No. 11 is attached to fuselage skin part 15. the center wing spars parts Ki and K2 along withe cockpit tub. The cocokpit tub attached to part sub floor 1a, 1a rest on top of the center wing spars. and rear fuselage former D is glued is cemented into position and the rear fuselage is constructed . the rear portion of the canopy is prepared by adding packing tape glued down with testors plastic type glue. this will complete the rear portion of the canopy that flows into the rear fuselage. As of now doing some burnishing the glue has dried and cured so its a good time to do this before i procede any further. Next will be fitting out of the cockpit.

This looks great. I have seen this on ebay and wondered about the assembly. It is truly amazing the amount of work you get completed in short periods of time. Looking forward to seeing the completed model.

Steaming cutter you have there, Boats!!
No mercy for the cutter!
Amazing!
And it is a quite interesting model, since it is a fine model and a change for Maly Modelarz publishing house, using computers to re-design it.

Here is the update for now will have one more post before i knock off ships work. as to the attachments below the construction of the cockpit and canopy there are 32 parts to the cockpit the kit gives you an option. either have a printed canopy or a detailed canopy. This is a great kit I highly reccemend this kit if anyone wants to give this bird a shot. Next I will construct the tailfeathers. Here is the update for now.

A relative of mine flew the Bf109G6 during WW2.
By his own published words, he far preferred the Me.262 though.
Nevertheless, in 1966 he flew a Bf109J (Aka Hispano Buchon) inverted at an altitude of 20 feet, straight over the head of none other than Sir Hugh Dowding of Fighter Command fame.
The movie "The Battle of Britain" was in production at the time, and my relative and Sir Douglas Bader became great friends.
The info here will tell you who my relative was, Boats my friend.

I'm enjoying your mighty fine build and attention to detail Boats.
You have skills I can only hope to eventually acquire.

Kind and Respectful Regards Boats my friend, Uyraell.
