Thanks, Bob, no, not RR paper but a no-name brand that I bought years ago.

Thanks, Sergio, for your comments.

No. 8 The Phoenix of the Flying Boxcar

No.8 is the Phoenix. If you have seen the movie Flight of the Pheonix (2004) then you'll recognize this model plane. The props spin this time. And it was a fun build and I have not encountered too much difficulty or problem.

Another beauty papermate.

The 2004 remake of Flight Of The Phoenix with Dennis Quaid wasn't bad but I still think the 1965 original with James Stewart was better. Well known racing/stunt pilot Paul Mantz was killed when 'Phoenix' crashed while filming the original version.

Cool model. To be fair proportions on "original" movie version were a bit different but it's still very good representation of it.Reminds me a lot of one of old Morane monoplanes.

That was very good film, both of them.I do prefer 1965 version but that's likely nostalgia since newer version is still true to original script afaik.Seeing Jimmy Stewart acting is reward all by itself.

Thanks my friends for your comments.

@Sergio, I haven't watched the 85 movie neither but I think it's available on YouTube.

No.9 DC-6B Fire Bomber

No.9 is DC-6B, a fire bomber of the Securite Civile, originally at 1/72. This model was printed on computer photopaper a no. of years ago (6 or 7) waiting to be built. Glad that it's done today and shared with you fellow paper model builders. The lesson learnt in the build process is that insert the formers AFTER the relevant sections are joined for better result. There was quite a lot of slight modifications like trimming etc necessary. Other than this, it was quite a straight forward build.
