Measure twice, cut once. An old carpenter say.

Regardless of the scale, congratulations!

Another old carpenter saying: Saw off 28% of the wing and it'll be the right scale.

No.7 Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander

No.7 Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander, originally 1/36 reduced to 1/200. The props on this model are fixed. Other than this, the build is straight forward. The air intake under the engines are scratch-built as they are not provided in the templates. The model is covered with a layer of UV resin, thus glossy look.

Nice BN-2 build Papermate - do you know if the windscreen shape is accurate for this variant? I was considering recoloring this but went with a simpler model that looked more like the old Airfix kit.

Thanks, wireandpaper and Ifuente.

@Ifuente, I have no idea whether the shape of the windscreen is accurate or not, sorry.
You may have to see it yourself in your recolour.

As far as I can remember, both the Bob and Ifuante models are based on the aircraft and model from Luftverkehr Friesland Harle and would therefore have the same windscreen shape (?)

Nice little Islander papermate. You obviously remembered the nose weight. This bugger looks like a tail-sitter.

Thanks Rata, you’re right about the need of a nose weight.
