Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8/R8 (Halinski)
A little of history The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 German fighter was a versatile, low-wing, metal construction, covered in duralumin and control surfaces covered with tissue. Along with the Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a major German air force fighters during the WWII, operating in all theaters in which the Luftwaffe was present. Played the role of air superiority fighter, escort and interception as well as fighter-bomber close support of units on the ground. Version A-8 began production in February 1944. It was the most produced version of the Fw 190 with over 6550 units. Showed improvements on previous versions primarily in the greater storage of fuel, weapons of larger caliber, best protection in the fuselage and a new fuel injection system. The R8 version was used for ground attack so incorporating a pump 400 kg (792 lbs). The model that I built, represents the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8/R8 with No. 13 This aircraft was known as "Blue 13" and was piloted by Major Walter Dahl. Decided to try a Halinski & I loved this birds coloring. (I had intended doing some armor next but somehow got side-tracked away from all those tracks & wheels).
I found Sr Reis work invaluable to get me going. So I'm sending him a posthumous thanks. Your efforts were not wasted Very scrappy attempt by me compared to the late master Reis but it's a start. Didn't have any 0.6mm wire about only 0.1mm & 1.0mm so I thought I'd see what happened if I rolled some push-rods with light-weight news-print |

Beautiful job putting that one together. That aircraft has always been one of my favorite. Looks like I have to buy one of those kits now.
Once again, nice work. |

Very impressive model. skilfully crafted and the process of making is a great legacy. Beyond doubt a wonderful source of inspiration to many modelers.

Slow progress with little time for me.
I suspect that my fuselage seems to bend ever so slightly to the left viewed from the tail. Ze's seems to as well. Wonder if this is an error or whether it's just how it seems. Maybe there is someone else out there who has built this. It is my 1st Halinski & after the Modelik I'm finding it VERY tight in terms of tolerance but is giving nice results. Wouldn't have got this far without this thread (I think Halinski expects you to know a helluva lot without needing instructions ). Am adding a pic of my current test fitting of the nose. |

I`m having same problem with my build , with the Val . It`s my first shot at paper modeling .Instructions would help. building by numbers does not work for me .
