Okay here is one of the improvements I am working on. For those of you who are unfamiliar with my designs my real weakness is in the graphics portion of the design. Since I have decided to simplify this model in order to get it released I still want it to look okay.
So tell me what do you think? Look okay or change it?

I'm glad you guys like it. Me being the detail freak that I am I notice that due to the tapering of the horizontal stab the joint between the fin and elevator curves(near the tip) and if you look close the shading doesn't curve(due to my limited Corel Draw skills). Maybe so small that no one will notice but I do.

A little more progress...I apologize up front about the poor picture quality. It is a result of trying to Photoshop and watch the Daytona 500 at the same time.
Fuselage frames in place. Recommended sequence to place the "full" bulkheads other than A2 (firewall) on the keel and then insert one side frame to lock those in place. Then slide A3 through the slot in the keel and lock everything up with the other side frame. Glue can now be applied (sparingly) to the keel/bulkhead/side frame intersections. Glue the firewall in place and then add all the partial bulkheads. Once all glued up this structure very sturdy, with very fragile wing spars sticking out. As you can see in the previous and following photos the final steps to the fuselage frame is to add the frontwing spar (A4) with printed side facing aft. This is locked in place with the slanted wing root ribs which also butt against bulkhead A5 and interconnect with bulkheads A10 and A11. Make sure the wing root ribs ar "full up" and that the forward spar aligns with the middle and aft spars. Layout of the outer wing frame for one wing. My sequence of building was to attach the "filler piece to the rib outboard of it (three sub-assemblies.) I then attached the three sub-assemblies to the leading edge spar and finished by "locking things up" with trailing edge spar. The outer frame assembly fits between the bulkhead A10 and A11 spars, butting against the root rib and also interlocking with a slot in the end of the A10 spar. The leading edge spar glues to the rear of the bulkhead A4 spar. Be careful to maintain a straight spar setup and that all spar and rib edges are even with adjoining spar and rib edges. Last step is to add the gear door partial ribs and spars (A28-A29-A30) which all tab/slot to each other and the existing structure. The photo below shows one wing frame completed. And, finally, the other outer wing frame is done. The most vulnerable parts are now the trailing edge bit of the wing ribs - exercise caution!

Moving on - another view with both wings on and I have added the colored area behind the headrest (not really visible here...)
Here you can see the cockpit rear shelf with the canopy slide rails in place. The elusive part C12 can also be seen in the next two photos at the front of the cockpit ahead and above the instrument panel. And here are the rail braces in place (and my fiddly bit limit for the day has been reached!) Not quite as fiddly - the landing gear bay has had the liner and partial ribs installed. I now need to do some serious study of the skins and Robert's thread to better understand their placement and sequence of attachment. I hope to have an update within a few days... Oops! I need to get the landing bits installed in the landing gear bay before skins go on. Back to Robert's thread...

Excellent progress. Looks like good clean precise frame assembly and the cockpit interior looks good in situ.

One of the big deficiencies on the Super Corsair was that if you were not careful it was possible to get the angle of the wings wrong. I wanted to avoid that with this design, but the tradeoff was the flimsy spars sticking out, and a somewhat more difficult procedure to skin the frame. Overall I'm not sure I like the design from that standpoint. But I'm not changing it now.
