The first batch of hopefully finalized parts just went out. Alfadoc one of the original beta builders has again joined the team and in his honor I am doing some work on the contra-rotating version again. One little improvement added this time around is a prop that can spin. That probably won't happen with the con-rotating version though since that is pretty complicated.

btw YB that canopy looks great. Glad we can leech off of GPM for the canopies.

Will sent me the first pages of the "final" product and I will be starting the Gamma build shortly and will present it here as a new thread titles "Will Aldridge's XP-72 Gamma Build" - isn't that name creative of me?

Since YB hasn't posted these I thought I would since they are pretty good looking.

It certainly is VERY good looking. A superb design of a superb aircraft and a truly excellent build, especially for an Army-challenged sea dog . . . and from a certain angle, it looks a little like a Corsair (Mustang Canopy question).

And gorgeous she is .

As for me, I am almost done with th contra rotating prop assembly to get pictures for the instructions...and of course edit the instructions to include more detailed steps. Then they're off to Will for final review!

That joke is so old I had forgotten where it came from. But then again from the right angle anything looks like a Corsair.

Pretty much ready

I think just about all the details of the kit have been taken care of, except the all important details with the vendors. But since I'm taking scouts to scout camp tomorrow morning and there is no cell signal or internet connection it's going to have to wait about a week or more.

But here are the front and back cover sheets to wet your appetites.

Posted a small update to YB's Gamma build thread showing the contra-rotating props.
