SG-38 by MBig in1:33 scale.

Hello again.
There is my next design. I have chosen not typical model to build. This is SG-38 - german basic training glider. I thought it will be simple model to build but I had some design problems wit this.

First effects of my work are on photos.

Fuselage.

Must be "wooden", because I like it like this.

I have chosen bad conception of back frame. I made it from one thick cardboard piece and next put parts with texture on. All edges I covered by straps with printed texture. I have used typical modeling brown paint for retouch edges and it was mistake.Effect on photos.

"Cockpit".

It is difficult to say cockpit about this sit. I have used to retouch edges new paint: CITADEL WASHES. Effect? Excellent!!!
If edges were to light, I retouched id again. Just to have some colour. I tested it with daylight and with bulb light. It is working good. )

Paints

There are photo of paints what I have used to retouch pilot seat. You can see on photos big different of retouch of fuselage (standard paint) and on pilot seat (washes).

To be (maybe) continued.

PS. I am sorry for big photos, I can't fint shortcut for miniatures on imageshack.

What a sweet little model. I love your attention to detail with the seat and the frame gussets. This is shaping up to be a very interesting build!

Hello Piotr,

Good to see you designing again, I am a big fan of all of your work and this is no exception. This one is looking very good and I especially like the wood-effect detail.
A few questions; what scale will it be in? who will be publishing it? and will you be displaying it at Perth this year?

All the best and happy modelling

Bernie

Hello again.

Cardist. I hope, I will be in Perth this year.

Time to show progress of my job.

Wings.

There are small wings and I design structure with a few ribs in construction points.

Fuselage frame is thin and I will use 2mm dia. steel wire to fit wings with fuselage.

And now nearly finished wing.

There are some spots. It is fresh glue inside wings. I sprayed surface parts by clear varnish and it reactedwith glue. After glue drying surface should be clear again.

To be continnued....

Congratulations on your Second Place! Beautiful aircraft and I especially liked your method of representing the ribbing detail under the fabric....very convincing!
