Well I am back thanks to one of our young members being a brat and bugging me all the time about my SR-71 build. Just kidding, he didn't bug me that much but he is a brat. Not really, he is a good kid.

Any who, he did bug me enough that it got me back to my work bench cutting up this model. I have had it printed since the day I bought it months ago. I am going to try and snap pictures as I go to post on here, no promises though, I get in a zone and forget about taking pictures till I have finished.

I want to forewarn you, my build is probably not going to be as amazing as Billy's but I am going to try. My build is going to be hung in the flying position so I will not be doing the landing gear. I was also debating on doing the cockpit detail, it will be hung and no one will see inside. I went ahead and decided to do the cockpit though, some day I might display it on the stand when I get more space.

So here goes, this is all I did today between work and my spoiled dog wanting attention and then NASCAR.

Yes this is Ken West's design. There is another build thread on this plane done by Ken and Billy as Ken was designing it. Billy did the test build.

Got a little bit more done today, I will finish the seats tonight. I know I am not going in order of the instructions but that is because I have been to lazy to go 3/4 of a mile down the road to the store and get clearcoat for the skins. I finally went this evening so tomorrow I will start skinning this beast.

Got a little bit more done last night. Like I said before, I am going to build this as in-flight and hanging but will have the cockpits so they can be raised so if someday I decide to take it down and display it on the stand. My Mom said I should display it on my grand piano, that would be nice but the top of the grand piano belongs to my cat and I don't think she would like to share it. :)

Some time today I will start on the engines and start skinning this massive bird.

You have a Grand Piano, I am so jealous! My son's (and mine) Violin teacher has a beautiful Steinway. Her husband restores them. Nothing like a Grand Piano for sound.

Your cat has good taste, and she'd probably tear into any model you put there, wouldn't you? :)
