Push button-shaped is about right. But, hell, Mike, that's a great looking result for a "quickie."

Thanks Spencer. I found the parts manual for PV2 planes, Illustrated. $181.00 I think not although I would love to have access to all the details in that baby.

Checked the fit of the turret to the hole in the rear fuselage section today, I build these as test fits so I don't take a lot of care with glue lines. Mostly thin CA run across a tacked former and squeezed to adhere. Seems to fit and spin nicely, so I am going to keep moving on...

Looks wonderful! You might want to print out a door in the kit, so the option will exist for making a door in the fuselage. It would add much depth.

That turret looks great considering it is just a quickie test build.

Zathros, the picture of the turret that you posted is the same as ours. However, the diagram of the nose 50 cals that you posted is for the D model which had 8 guns in the nose. We have 5 guns in our nose, there were very few D models produced and I am excited to see that one is being restored and flying. Thanks for posting the links.

Thanks for the info. I am not an expert and only post information for people as yourself, who may, or may not, if the case may be, gather some information. Mike's plane is so awesome, as all the work he does is!

Update
Been experimenting with some new ideas, so the build is not going as fast as it could. But it should pay some dividends some time in the future of this model.
I made inner liners to the fuselage and made them big enough to provide a gluing surface to join the sections together. Just not sure all the detail in the interior is worth the trouble. But on the other hand the fuselage will be fairly accurate and the desire for highly detailed can be met. Anyway here is some quick insight into what I have been doing. All lamination's were done on 1MM taskboard and the edges were painted with acrylics. I bought some pretty detailed reference material which I am using to fill in a lot of the missing information on this plane. So there should be some progress soon on the overall model.
