I'll definitely be using that carrier decking section for display. It's too nice not to use.. I'll mount it on my newly acquired "Foam-Cor" piece. I'm still made up over that find, as I was ready to go and buy a section on the next supply run.. I will not be building more then one of these... Next project is going to be for the other forums WWI build contest.. Help show more of the cardmodeling flag at basically a plastic venue.. |

Thank you!
Hear, hear! Always good to open some eyes to a wider horizon.
Perfect technique description; I don't have a brush in my tool kit, but it makes perfect sense.

motor and cowling..
Today's update is the finished motor. Roughly about 40 pieces make this up, which is pretty good for this scale. As with everything else so far, I've had no fit problems. The motor slips in place perfectly, and needs to go in before attaching the front ring. There is the option of a simpler motor, but I chose to go this route to see if I could actually build it. Could be better/cleaner, but I'm happy with the overall appearance. Still need to attach the little covers on the cowling.

Great looking work on the engine and rest of kit. It is always good to see what others are doing and how they are accomplishing what they do. Never thought of rolling cylinders around a toothpick. I ahve tried everything round that I could find but a toothpick never crossed my mind. Looking forward to seeing the finished model.

Beautiful engine, Peter! Plenty of detail for this scale and a very realistic visual impression. A shame to have to hide it behind a cowl.
