Tigers for Peace

Terry & Rosie (Contour Creative) of byairclassique.com recently sent out copies their various (25+) 1/72 scale Tiger Moth models to selected people in commemoration of the 911 terrorist attacks.

I was lucky enough to be selected to receive a nice bright yellow DH 82A Tiger Moth top dresser.

I have not had a lot of time to work on it but I have made some progress. It is going together very easily with no fit problems.

Er...stupid question time...the front cockpit seems to be missing, would this be a cropduster version?

The Tigermoth was the first and only biplane I ever got a flip in, I recall it with fondness.

Hi Rick

We've designed a couple of top dressers (or crop dusters) in the Tiger range so far. Other variations with canopies, the Thruxton Jackeroo are in the pipeline. If I could fit a decent image of all the Tiggy's on the site I'd do it...This is already shaping up as a very large range of Tiggy's - we'll definately get to the three figure mark..

Terry - Thanks. The inserts were no problem. In fact the build so far has been without difficulty. Excellent fit throughout.

Good work, Douglas! I am glad to see one of the Tiggys under construction. I have yet to begin on my nice lavender GB version, but hope to do so soon. The supplemental info Terry and Rosie sent out has been helpful, and I will be following your build closely.

Dh 82A Tiger Moth Woody

Here's a 1/72 Tiger Moth made up by Dave Miller, USA that was sent through. Thought we would share it with you. I think it is also his first paper aircraft...Thank you Dave

Terry should be happy to know that I started on the Italian model
(I-BANG) last night. Got all of the lower wing assembled. Had to finish Nobi's MD-450 Ouragan first for the ecardmodel contest. Pics will be forthcoming.
