Grumman TBF 1/18th scale

Ahoy
Here is another TBF Avenger in my collection this is oin the scale of 1/18th based on cleveland model plans. As you can tell pesky the pilot had to have his picture taken this time he is in the proper uniform of the US.NAVY only problem is he is out of scale.

Boats! Nice piece of work... if you want a pilot, there may be one in the toy department at Wally Mart - all the "Ultimate Soldier" figures are 1:18 scale, and there may be one for a WWII USN flyer to be found. I'll keep an eye out in any case.

Saw your Mariners over at another forum, hmm which one was it now? They are sweet! And 1:48 to boot!

Take, care (Earth) Shipmate

Ahoy Fellas
Thank you for your reply this is a 21st century 1/18th scale TBF1-C this is a pre built model I did somer building on it I added locking pin on the wings the way the wings were designed in the exstended position it looked like a mother Hen protecting her chicks I did some rebuilding on the model. I dont kniw if they make this anymore. I will not take credit on the model all I done was rebuild a lot parts on the models I mean to tell you this is the finist TBF you will ever get if you every get your flippers on it. I decided to show this here just for fun Not certain if trhey make this anymore. My First mate Ruthie found it at a yard sale she barged in my boson locker and said come up top side I have a big surprise for you. I couldn,t believe my running lights I never seen these before no instructions on the assembling of it there is a pictorial instruction in how to put it together. I found a few flaws ans I corected them The bomb bay doors ope3n the wing flaps. ball turret, all control surfaces and the wheels restract and the wings fold it does everything but fly. I will try not to tie up this forum with these types of displays its all paper here and respect thaThat I should have explained this in the beginning but i am a little punch drunk I8 got back from the VA for a blood pressure stress test and I had rectom rooter check out my ash can for any polops on my colon so far old boats is clean. thanks Fellas.
