New Concorde from Currell - Landor. 1/144

I bring you this new Concorde model from our friend Ralph Currell, with the Landor livery.

This model is the same design as the previous ones in Ralph's web site, and which Currell and Erik TeGröen published about 5 years now. But it still carries the extraordinaire looks for this model.

Let's begin.

http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...402_210623.jpg The fuselage, this piece is quite large and requires care to avoid open seams.

http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...403_204825.jpg The internal structures remind me the JSC method, no pieces to laminate, but it gives what is necessary to build the "bones".These are the ones for the fuselage.

And here are they inside the fuselage. I had to sand a little to make them fit appropriately.

http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...403_225821.jpg Now the internal structure for the wings. Just as the ones for the fuselage, these are made of pieces on the kit, no laminating required.

This is a Beautiful Aircraft. I love all the Schemes available, but the scheme you are making is the best to me, and you are doing great with the build. You are using glossy paper, i applaud that, this can be very tricky to work with. Look forward to more updates.

Nice work so far milenio. I'm about to start this kit myself so I'll be watching with great interest. Some people asked me to build it as a birthday gift for a friend of theirs who lives in the UK. They're even going to pay me a few bucks. I was planning on doing a build thread at zealot. Your build thread is quite timely. Except now it'll look like I'm copying you ;)

While you minimize to 1/144, I had it (the older version) enlarged to what scale I don't know but it measures about 7 ft long. The one on the right is from Ojimak. Both were built some 4 years ago. Despite some damages, Ralph's Concorde stills held out in an arts exhibition.

Although I still haven't finish it, I am making little progress as this week was hell at work. But I guess I can finish it by weekend.

Papermate, very good models! In fact, I was beta testing Ralph Currell Concorde models when he and Erik began making them public a few years ago, and I was amazed to see the level of design of these guys. The scale 1/144 was chosen from the beginning.

Steve, I hope I am still in time to help you in your model. I will try to take more pictures so you can have a clear view of the process.
