Ahoy
finishing up my PBY now I should have it finished tonight sometime down hill slide for sure I will post outside pictures tommorow. Here is a build I done 40 years ago I took it out of the box and cleaned it up youi dont ever see any of these modeled this made from blue foamboard and cardstock the clamshell doors work there is a ramp inside I forgot to exstend it. I flew in one of these in 1962 flew out from Travis Airforce Base Fairfield california, Flew from there to clark field Phillipine Islands to pick up my Ship which was stationed at Subic Bay. Scale is 1/48 scale wingspan 46 inch,s

Thank you for your reply Was he a load master or crew cheif, We flew out from Travis AFB to Clarke fied PI. there were 200 personal plus pilot co-pilot navigator flight engineer, and loadmaster I remembered that there was ARMY DUC that was loaded up frrom a elevator at the rear of the trailing edge of the iwnf under the fuselage, there were two flight decks full of personal. thanks for your reply.

Fantastic model. Takes me back.....to a 5 year old Air Force brat at Ramey AFB Puerto Rice who thought that Beg Shakey was the coolest plane in the world. Thanks

A bit before my AF time, although a few of them still were flying. Common rumor had it that the shakiness was built in deliberately as "encouragement" for the paratroops.

Beautiful model, Boats. Thanks for showing it.
