Thank you Jim, you´re very welcome...

Next step for the Geli MIG 15 to build. The three segments for the aft section of the fuselage were built. No notable difficulties or problems to report here. Every part fits very well and the fuselage work is finally done.

Now, we proceed to vertical tail and elevators. Main task was to shapen and to round up the parts where necessary to assemble them properly with fuselage and fin. Takes some time and patience to move on. I used a wooden stick to do the work without harming the parts and the metallic surface.After this treatment, the assembling was easily to do.

I hadn't seen any of the Geli models being built before, and I am quite impressed with the exactness of fit and crispness of the graphics employed...when was this particular kit produced? It has qualities that match the finer kits being produced today but I seem to recall this is an older kit designed before the advent of today's computer assisted design programs, all the more impressive.

As before, wonderfully crisp and clean work, Joerg!

Cheers!
Jim

Hello Jim, not so long ago Geli resurrected ;
Geli Karton - Modellbau
They publish the models very nicely printed in metallic and you can buy them from them directly or from several vendors like; modellservice - der Kartonmodellshop

Thanks, Billy:

I just browsed their new webpage, a very nice start and some fine looking models...I just had to order their Me262! Looking forward to seeing how that one looks; if this Mig is any indication, that should be a very nice model too.

Cheers!
Jim

Hi Jim,

Just a quick shot for you. The new Geli issues are keeping the old construction by Mr. Wittrich but everything was cleaned up and refreshed. Therefore the old quality is back again. The official website of Geli with a shop enclosed.

Looking at the tail section- color me impressed! That is some mighty fine building, the base of the tail is very nicely turned out to blend with the body.
