Messerschmitt Bf-109 T-2 Halinski 1:33

Let's begin with this rather interesting airplane, the Messerschmitt Bf-109 T-2;
in the Halinski Kartonowy Arsenal edition that says "2010" on the cover,
but Halinski released by 2011 year's end.

First a note... it seems that Halinski always names the Messer's with the Bavarian designation
"Bayerische Flugzeugwerke", thus the "Bf-109" instead of the common "Me-109" naming convention.
The T version, called "Theodore", is the 109 for the carriers.

This particular airplane "black 6", was flown by Oblt Herbert Christmann, who was leader of the JG 11, Spring 1943.

Airframe is like the Emil (E version of the 109), but with longer wings.




Here is Christmann with the T-2 our our subject. As you can see, the nose resembles the Emil.

Other characteristics are: red stylized flame, yellow belt from the Defense of the Reich.

I found that the designers of this model are Marcin Dworzecki & Marcin Grygiel,

As usual, we start on the pilot's cage. As for the threads on the Halinski E version, it seems they are the same.

The pedals bar and the floor. The trim wheel.

I continued with the pilot's seat. As this is my first WWII Halinski airplane, I wasn't aware of the details Halinski puts here. Orlik and Modelik add very good details, but Halinski goes beyond.

Starting with the seat belts, I painted the buckles with a silver marker.

Looking very good. Yes, Halinski does go above and beyond in the detailing department. People who have the patience to super-detail Halinski cockpits have my respect. As does anyone who tackles a Halinski.

Anyone who build a Halinski models always deserved a good attention fro many modeller. My hat are off t you sir. I've built the GPM models cockpits and by seeing you photo is like WOW, Halinski does really goes beyond in details department.
